Block Captains

Get to know who your Block Captain and surrounding Neighbors; keep them informed of your typical work schedule, extended time periods when you will be out of town and if you plan to have any contractors working on or around your house. Creating open communication with your Block Captain, Neighbors, or the VIP Team is a great way to help us all look out for each other!

If you know you will be out of town, please email vip@lstreets.org with your address and dates you'll be gone. The more information we have, the more effecient we can patrol our neighborhood.

Keep the Porch Light on!

Mr. Drummond, a resident of the L Streets since 1955 says, "everyone should keep the porch light on". And we agree! Darkness has a way of inviting unwanted people, so leave your light on and help keep our neighbood safe!

Also consider installing dusk to dawn sensors and lights on your house. This ensures your property is lit at all times, whether you are home or not and also conserves electricity by only coming on when it is dark.
